Horizon Blvd · last updated 26 October 2026

The short version. No ads, no tracking, no analytics, no cookies. You never give an email address or your real name. The game keeps only what it needs to run: your progress, and, if you play online, your driver name, your ranked runs and the leaderboards. You can download all of it, or delete it, from the game at any time.

Who looks after your data

Horizon Blvd is made and run by Tiberiu Matei, an independent developer in Romania, who is the controller of the data described here. For anything about your data, or to report a bug, write to [email protected].

What's kept on your device

The game saves your progress, settings and car builds in your browser's storage, along with your driver key (if you play online), runs waiting to be sent, and a few pictures it draws (avatars, menu covers) so it doesn't draw them again. This is what makes the game work, so it needs no consent banner, and none of it is used to track you. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes it, as does Delete my driver in the game.

What's kept on our server

Only if you play online (claim a driver name). Then the server keeps:

What others can see: your driver name, avatar, scores and times on the leaderboards, your honours, and your driver card (how many daily roads you've driven, your bests, and since when you've been driving).

Challenge links you send carry your name, your car's look and your run's replay. Anyone you send one to, or who it's passed on to, can see those.

Why we keep it

The replay check only decides whether a run counts on a leaderboard. Nothing is used for advertising, sold, or shared with anyone beyond the hosting below.

For how long

Who hosts it

The game and its server run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which stores the data above in its database in the Eastern Europe region and carries the site's traffic, including internet addresses, to deliver and protect it. Cloudflare works for us under its data processing agreement, and where data may leave the EU it's covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU's standard contractual clauses. The game's fonts and everything else are served from our own site: nothing is loaded from other companies.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

Children

Horizon Blvd isn't aimed at children under 16. If you're younger, ask a parent before playing online. A parent who wants a child's driver deleted can write to [email protected].

Keeping it safe

Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS), driver keys are only stored hashed, and the server checks what it's sent. Your recovery code is the key to your driver: keep it private, as anyone with it can play as you. Because we only keep it hashed, we can't see it, send it again or recover it: if you lose it on every device, your driver can't be got back.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything that matters to you (ads, say, if they ever come) will be said in the game first.
